Summary of the contracting process

The Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded a contract for the "DUD - BCI - Introduction to Coding (Sandwell)" programme, which is focused on providing essential coding skills relevant to the education and training services industry. The programme is scheduled to run from 1st July 2021 to 1st July 2022, delivering five days per week from 9:30 to 16:30. The procurement process employed a selective method, specifically a restricted procedure, with the tender period concluding on 18th June 2021. The awarded contract is valued at £18,000, and the delivery location falls within the West Midlands region, particularly in Dudley (DY1 1HF).

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in education, training services, and IT solutions, particularly those focused on coding and career development. Given the programme's aim to prepare participants for industry roles, companies capable of delivering high-quality training and support services will be well-positioned to compete. Furthermore, businesses that can ensure accessible training locations and provide comprehensive support, including interview preparation and job placement assistance, would enhance their competitiveness in this procurement process.
