TfL_SCP_001779 Engineering Quality Monitoring (EQM)

Notice Description

TfL has a requirement to provide an Engineering Quality Monitoring (EQM) provision which encompassesvehicle inspection for London Buses, Dial-a-Ride vehicles and rail replacement buses inclusive of servicerecords inspections and site examinations. EQM requires independent inspectors to carry out unannounced garage-based inspections of buses. The busesare fit for service but, for the duration of the inspection, are not needed in service. Scores will be assigned as a result of each inspection. These scores feed into performance monitoring of thebus operators' on TfL's network. The work needs to be carried out by inspectors who are fully trained holders of the relevant vehicle class IRTECInspection Technician License (bus and coach), and who are wholly independent of the relevant operatingcompanies. The inspectors must be fully conversant with relevant bus and Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)standards. This will ensure all bus operators are maintaining buses to the standard required by LBSL and areoperating in line with DVSA recommendations. To participate in this opportunity the supplier needs to be registered on Procontract. To register or to check if youare already registered log on to https://procontract.due-north.com. It is important that suppliers read the instructions carefully on the home page before proceeding withregistration. To be considered for this opportunity the company must first complete the Supplier SelectionQuestionnaire Parts 1,2 and 3 as a condition of participation. A supplier guidance document is attached withinthe 'opportunity documents' section, this will give instructions to facilitate the submission.
