Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence, specifically the Land Equipment and Operational Infrastructure sector, is conducting a tender for the "Power Capability Extension (PCE)" project, classified under fleet management, repair, and maintenance services. This procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, with the end date for submission set for 4th May 2020. The contract is valued between £70 million and £100 million, with the contract period commencing on 1st July 2021 and lasting until 31st July 2031. The services will be required across the United Kingdom and the British Overseas Territories, indicating a broad geographical reach.

This opportunity allows businesses, particularly those in fields related to power generation and maintenance services, to engage in a substantial government contract. Companies with expertise in managing General Purpose Power (GPP) provision will find this tender particularly relevant, especially those equipped to operate in diverse climatic conditions worldwide. Given the estimated contract value and lengthy duration, suitable applicants could include medium to large enterprises with capabilities in fleet management and service delivery for military applications. Such engagement can significantly enhance a business's portfolio and establish long-term partnerships within the defence sector.
