Notice Title

WOODBOURN ROAD FOOTBALL HUB

Notice Description

The pavilion at Woodbourn Road is a two-storey building, constructed in c. 1990, and has laid dormant for some time. Works will be required internally to the upper and lower ground floors to reconfigure the spaces to accommodate the Client's requirements, for example, the kitchen area as well as WCs and showers will be relocated. As well as new WCs and showers, there will also be new ceiling, wall and floor finishes and new internal fire doors. A gender neutral changing room and multi-faith prayer room will be created on the lower ground floor. The current M&E systems will require either complete replacement or improvement in some areas. Following a building condition report, external remedial works within the immediate vicinity of the building have been identified to address issues with subsidence and structural movement. Works include repairs to the external drainage, underpinning the foundations to the external stairs and rebuilding retaining walls, external stairs and concrete slabs to the external walkways. The external envelope of the building will also be improved; replacement of the external windows and doors, a new roof covering and new cladding to the east elevation. A new footpath bridge link will also require construction to the new entrance of the building.
