Summary of the contracting process

Islington Council procured refurbishment works at 3 Elwood Street, Futureworks, in London. The work covers builders’ work, including new internal partitions, replacement kitchen facilities, a new external door opening, localised damp treatment, replacement flooring and wall protection strips, together with mechanical and electrical works. This is a building refurbishment and construction requirement (CPV 45000000).

The procurement is complete and was awarded to Woodside Commercial Projects Ltd. The award date was 14 August 2026, at a value of £400,000. The contract period runs from 28 September to 16 November 2026. The procurement used a selective competitive dialogue procedure. The original quotation deadline was 7 July 2026. The works were evaluated on 60% cost and 40% quality: price scores were based on comparison with the lowest sustainably priced quotation, and suppliers had to submit a completed pricing schedule for evaluation. The requirement was identified as suitable for SMEs.

The award shows demand from Islington Council for a capable building refurbishment contractor able to coordinate internal building work with mechanical and electrical tasks. Relevant experience includes fitting internal partitions and kitchen facilities, forming external door openings, treating localised damp, replacing floors and installing wall protection. A credible competitor would need to demonstrate sound delivery methods and quality alongside a sustainable, competitive price, supported by a complete and clearly costed pricing schedule. The successful supplier was an SME, indicating that this scale and mix of refurbishment work was deliverable by a smaller business. This specific requirement is evidence of the council’s need for refurbishment contractors able to manage a varied package of building works at a London property.」__}}}”】【 (closing malformed?
