Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) would like to seek feedback from the Market in relation to its intended tender documentation for a Concession Contract for the Provision of a Home Contents Insurance Scheme for RMBC Tenants and Leaseholders. . Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has provided a successful Home Contents Scheme, for many years, for the benefit of its tenants and leaseholders. This is a service that aims to provide them with a quality product that is competitively priced against what is available in the market both in terms of premium levels and the level of cover, including exclusions and excesses. . It is important the scheme reflects the intended market and overall requirement to assist the Council in reducing financial exclusion. . The scheme will be administered by in house staff and within the FCA exemption. The scheme provides an income stream to council which covers the associated administration. . The engagement exercise will commence during the first week in May 2019 and end on 20th May 2019. . The Tender itself will be not be issued until on or around 12th June 2019 and will be by way of a completely separate exercise to this engagement event. . The Contract Start date is 28th January 2020. This particular exercise in no way represents part of a tender exercise. . This is a great opportunity for potential bidders to ask questions, make suggestions, and provide advice about anything contained in the tender documentation for RMBC to consider in light of the future tender. . All responses will be treated in confidence. . RMBC will consider all suggestions and accept or reject them on their merits. . Should the council accept any requested change from any supplier, it will be shown by way of an amendment to the tender documentation when it is issued at Tender stage. .
