Notice Description

The Council and the Contractor wish to enter into an Agreement for a service, whereby the contractor will undertake low level assessments on behalf of Wigan Council and then prescribe and supply the equipment needed at the time of assessment. In addition, the contractor will make recommendations for minor adaptations ie. grab rails, stair rails and for owner occupied / private rented properties, supply and install the adaptations. The key objectives of this service are:- * Reduce the workload of the Wigan Council. * Provide an efficient assessment and delivery service of equipment and adaptations to the Wigan population five days a week. Provide a basic low cost service which offers the potential for savings in other departments and free up resources for more complex cases to be processed sooner
