Craven District Council (CDC) covers an area of 117,876 hectares (15% of North Yorkshire), and it has a population of 55,500. The businesses market is primarily local people within, and on the periphery, of Craven. This area roughly extends to Burnley in the West, Harrogate in the East, Leeds & Bradford to the South and Kirby Lonsdale to the North. Craven District Council's Bereavement Services sits within the Council's Assets and Commercial Services (A&CS), and is headed up by the Bereavement Services Development Manager. Bereavement Services is responsible for one crematorium (Skipton Crematorium) and Two Cemeteries Waltonwrays Cemetery, Skipton and Ingleton Cemetery, Ingleton, plus three closed churchyards. The service undertakes approximately: 22 Burials per year at Waltonwrays Cemetery 7 Burials per year at Ingleton Cemetery
