Real Time bus Information System
Notice Description
North East Lincolnshire Council working in partnership with EQUANS Services Ltd and Stagecoach Grimsby Cleethorpes is seeking to continue to deliver a Real Time Passenger Information System that adopts 'RTIG' protocols. The Authority is seeking a provider to deliver a real time bus passenger information to the travelling public. The current system utilises GPS/GPRS / AVL from the VIX/ERG TP5000 on bus ticket machines which is made available to the Authority via a SIRI link. The Authority require a system that can utilise and collate the Stagecoach AVL bus location data ('vehicle centric') and other data that is necessary to provide Real Time Passenger Information to the public. The successful provider will be required to deliver three-line Ferrograph LED displays - with RNIB key fob functionality & Sim Card Communication and TFT displays. In addition will also be required to deliver a solution which enables the continued delivery of RTPI to these signs. The current method of communication with these signs is through the internet. The current NELC RTPI system includes: * SIRI-VM (Subscription) input system from Stagecoach (SIRI 1.3), * SIRI-SM (Subscription) output to 21st Century (SIRI 1.3), * SIRI-SM (request) output to Traveline (SIRI 1.3), * Backoffice landing page with various reporting functions, * Fault Management Service, * Live bus departures via a webpage, There should be one integrated system that will collate real time information into an integrated form suitable for delivery to the neighbouring real time information signs.
