The University of West London (UWL) has recently awarded a contract for the provision of e-books, with a total value of £400,000. The contract period spans from September 1, 2022, to August 31, 2024. UWL library services and archives play a crucial role in supporting over 10,000 students and 1,000 staff across two main sites in London. The procurement method employed was selective, calling off from a framework agreement. The tender period ended on July 15, 2022, with a contract start date of September 1, 2022.

This tender by UWL for e-books offers opportunities for businesses to supply library books and cater to the academic needs of students and staff. Small and medium-sized enterprises are well-suited to compete due to the procurement's emphasis on continuous improvement and user experience research. Businesses involved in providing educational materials, specifically e-books, would find this tender a significant growth opportunity. The ideal go-live date for the contract is in August to facilitate orders before the start of the academic year.
