Notice Description

NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE A47 / A11 Thickthorn Interchange Galliford Try, as the East Region Delivery Partner are delivering the A47 / A11 Thickthorn Interchange project in the county of Norfolk in partnership with Highways England. The project will help relieve congestion at Thickthorn junction by providing two new free-flowing slip roads that will connect the A47 with the A11. The new slip roads will re-route traffic away from the junction and flow it under new underpasses. The project has recently submitted a Development Consent Order to the Planning Inspectorate and the project is forecast to commence on site in early 2023 and will take around 2 years to complete. Package: Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Outline Scope of Works A GPR survey is required of the full site to locate any and all potential services prior to the construction works starting in 2023. The required output from the survey is a 2D and 3D model. The 3D model needs to be in a format that can be incorporated into the full site model. This survey will focus on the offline areas of the project. Any online elements will be instructed separately. Principal Activities Approximate Quantities Completion of onsite GPR survey and 2D&3D model output. 1no Programme It is currently anticipated that these works will commence in June or July 2022.
