Job Title: Solicitor (Childcare) Rate of Pay: PS23.09 per hour (PAYE) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience specialising in and handling child protection and adoption matters, including advocacy, preferably from a local authority prospective. The successful candidate must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of public law childcare matters. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, be self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied caseload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact. Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions. You will also need to include your agency on cost details to each submission. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs. No DBS is required for this role. Candidates must be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister authorised to Practice. Post inside of IR35.
