Summary of the contracting process

Liverpool City Council is conducting a tender for the "Underground Refuse Solutions Framework," aiming to establish a multi-lot framework for the provision of underground refuse solutions and associated equipment, technology, vehicles, and maintenance services. This procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with a submission deadline set for 2nd November 2020, at 16:00. The framework is projected to run for four years, beginning on 1st January 2021, and will be accessible to all UK Public Sector and publicly funded entities. The total value of this procurement is £200 million, falling under the industry category of special-purpose motor vehicles and waste material containers, with a notable emphasis on goods procurement methods through an open procedure.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses looking to expand their operations, particularly those involved in waste management, refuse collection technology, and vehicle supply. Companies specialising in maintenance and service provisions for underground refuse systems will also find this a fitting opportunity to showcase their capabilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as the framework aims to foster inclusive competition in the public sector. Engaging in this procurement process can enhance market presence and open avenues for long-term partnerships within the public services sector.
