Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Supply Chain is conducting a procurement process for Vascular Therapy and Associated Products, with a total estimated value ranging from £72 million to £100 million over a four-year framework. This initiative falls within the medical consumables industry category and is based in the United Kingdom. The procurement method follows an open procedure (above threshold), and the tender period ended on 14 August 2019. The contract commenced on 3 March 2020 and will run until 3 March 2024. This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses in the healthcare and medical supply sectors, specifically for those supplying vascular therapy products like compression hosiery, electro-stimulation devices, and associated accessories. Both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger organisations can compete, particularly suppliers of medical consumables. Companies that can offer high-quality products and proven reliability in this field will find this procurement particularly advantageous for expanding their market presence and developing long-term partnerships with the NHS.
