Summary of the contracting process

The Liverpool City Council is currently conducting a Soft Market Test for Data Centre Hosting services, aimed at refining their procurement strategy and service specification. This procurement process, classified under information technology services, is in the planning stage. Potential suppliers are encouraged to engage with the council until the engagement end date of 26th February 2021, which is set for 2pm. Interested parties must register on ProContract to access the tender documents and respond to the associated questionnaire.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the IT and data centre services sectors, particularly small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs). By participating in this Soft Market Test, businesses can align their offerings with the council's needs, enhancing their chances of securing future contracts once the formal procurement exercise is initiated. The exercise is designed to encourage transparency and compliance, making it an ideal avenue for companies looking to expand their market presence in the public sector.

Soft Market Test - Data Centre Hosting

Notice Description

To help define and develop our Procurement Strategy and support in the development of our service specification, Liverpool City Council are engaging with potential data centre service providers prior to the release of any official tender document. The aim of this Soft Market Testing exercise is to notify the market of our future plans and to gauge interest in this opportunity with data centre providers. Please review the Soft Market Testing document and complete a brief questionnaire via ProContract. Your company will need to register on ProContract (Due North) to be able to receive the opportunity. The documents will only be available on ProContract (available via the Due North site).
