Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is currently in the planning stage of their procurement process for the provision of rapid charging points for electric vehicles. The engagement period for interested suppliers ends on 3 September 2021 at 12 pm. Companies are invited to respond to a market engagement notice to help inform the upcoming tender brief. This procurement falls under the 'Chargers' industry category and is located in London, with delivery addresses based in the W8 7NX postal code area. The intended procurement method is through a concessionaire arrangement.

This tender provides a unique opportunity for businesses, particularly those in the electric vehicle charging sector, to engage with the council and potentially secure a contract for the installation and operation of rapid charging points. Businesses that specialise in electric vehicle infrastructure, groundworks, and operational management of charging stations would be particularly well-suited to compete. Furthermore, those capable of offering innovative concessionary models and flexible leasing terms may find this tender advantageous for business growth in a rapidly evolving market.
