Summary of the contracting process

Highways England is seeking contractors for the 'Asset Delivery Construction Works Framework - East Region' project, aimed at maintaining and improving the Strategic Road Network within the East of England. This framework includes eight Lots covering various construction areas such as road lighting, civil engineering, and traffic management. The tender process has concluded, with the award made on 19th November 2019, and services set to continue until 31st March 2024. The procurement was conducted through a selective method, adhering to a restricted procedure above the threshold, with the tender period concluding on 4th March 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in construction works, particularly those focused on highways and road infrastructure projects. Companies that provide services in areas such as civil engineering, drainage, landscaping, and traffic management would be well-suited to compete. This framework is particularly advantageous for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand their operations within a collaborative environment, as multiple contractors will work together to deliver the required services.
