Notice Description
Job Title Caseworker- Civil and Business Rate of Pay: PS14.17- PS16.60 per hour PAYE (Inside IR35) Hours: 37 Location: Sandwell Council House/Hybrid Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency- Temporary for 3 months from start date Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: The ideal candidate should have one year's recent practical experience of working within a busy legal office supporting lawyers. Local government experience would be an advantage due to the nature of the work although not essential. The case worker will have responsibility for co-ordination, preparation and monitoring of all case files, preparation of bundles and have matters ready for court where necessary. The post holder will be required to work alongside a team of lawyers and provide support in preparation of Civil litigation, Housing and Employment law cases. This role would be suitable for someone who can demonstrate the ability to deal with a high and varied caseload, with excellent client care skills, and an eagerness to provide a high-quality service to our clients. Office attendance will be required 2-3 days a week. Experience of word and excel, photocopying and filing essential. Experience of working with a case management system desirable preferably from a local authority perspective. The successful candidates must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of casework. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied workload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact.
