Notice Description

The MOD are looking to understand the understand the market for the requirement below: This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information relating to the provision of servicing, maintenance and warranty of the Dual Energy X-ray Absorption (DEXA) equipment at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC). The DEXA requires servicing and warranty in the event of a fault. The DEXA is used on a weekly basis for clinical scanning, and a daily basis to undertake patient focus assessments or data collection for research projects. Without the correct servicing and warranty, the equipment would be unsafe for use. Therefore, to maintain and optimise the radiation outputs and the clinical/research output, ongoing servicing and warranty is required. REQUIREMENT The requirement is for 3 years of servicing/warranty as per the key user requirements below: - Two six-monthly service visits to be undertaken within 10 working days of the due date. - All parts (including the x-ray tank), labour and travel guaranteed over the period of cover. - Free collection of faulty equipment (not inclusive of Hard drives) and return of fixed items. Faulty equipment is to be removed and reinstalled by the Contractor within 5 working days of the reported fault. - Software maintenance releases and upgrades, to be provided to the Authority within 10 working days of release for installation on the computer (changes to software cannot be undertaken remotely as the computers are not connected to a network or internet). If unable to provide the Authority with the upgrade an onsite installation by the Contractor will be required, date to be agreed with the Authority. - Unlimited phone, email and tech support, during working hours (08.00 - 18.00 hrs, Monday to Friday) for equipment faults. Initial diagnosis of faults on site within 1 working day, faults requiring addition parts to be resolved within 5 working days for the report date. - At least 2 onsite-training operator sessions per annum as required by the Authority. - Unlimited phone and email application support, during working hours (08.00 -18.00hrs, Monday to Friday). Initial response to training specialists within 1 working day. The Authority shall require the servicing to be undertaken at: DMRC Stanford Hall Stanford on Soar Loughborough LE12 5BL The Contractor shall ensure that the system is functioning safely and meets the manufacturer's requirements for the stated piece of equipment. RESPONSE GUIDANCE This Request for Information (RFI) has been issued in order to better understand the market. The Authority is inviting interested parties to provide details on their capacity and capability in this field.
