Notice Description

The Animal and Plant Health Agency ("APHA") is looking to purchase two hydraulic post-mortem room tables for our facility in Carmarthen (SA31 3EZ). A draft specification is attached to this notice. This purchase is to replace two existing tables which have reached the end of their life. We are publishing this notice to identify potential suppliers who can to meet the requirement ahead of formally requesting quotes in late August / early September. Specifically, we are interested in understanding: 1. Can the requirements in the specification be delivered? 2. Would you propose any changes to the specification either to improve what we have specified or to reduce cost? 3. We are interested to understand if a "fail safe" can be designed into the tables (see section 5.2 of the draft specification). 4. What is the lead time for delivery of the tables once an order has been placed? 5. What is the indicative cost for purchasing two tables?
