The Royal Navy's Maritime Architecture and information systems infrastructure is in a major state of evolutionary change to cloud based technologies. The Navy is in the process of moving towards virtualised environments, which decouples the physical hardware from the operating system to deliver greater IT resource utilization, flexibility and cost savings and improve usability.
