Notice Title

Alternative Provision

Notice Description

Tameside Virtual School requires a responsive and fluid provision that will respond to individual needs of children and young people to create personalised pathways for them. The provision is for a small cohort of young people who are cared for (or on the edge of care) and may have a gap in school provision perhaps due to movement of placement and waiting for allocation of a school or a wait for an EHCP. They may also be at risk of exclusion or need some assistance with reparations in school and support maintaining a school placement. We require a short term provision that will focus on reintegration into a school provision and be able to understand the fluidity of different cohorts and different lived experiences of children and young people. A swift and proactive response is critical to maintaining education for this cohort of children and a good working relationship with schools, parents/carers and social workers is essential. There should be recognition of the high level of confidentiality around children's situations and community factors within their lives.
