GB-Edinburgh: Refurbishment and Upgrade of Noss Head Lighthouse
Notice Description
Works for complete or part construction and civil engineering work. The proposed works principally involve the de-commissioning and removal of the obsolete sealed beam optic lamp array and electrical operating/monitoring system for replacement with an equivalent updated operating system and LED optic technology. All electrical systems will be replaced and tested to current electricity at work regulations BS 7671. The Lighthouse Tower and Quarterdeck buildings are also to be completely refurbished along with the application of decorative / protective coatings to all external and internal elevations of the structure including the internal quarterdeck room that is currently occupied by the Coastguard. Please refer to the tender document for more detail on the project work. A site visit will be conducted on 5 October 2017. Please contact Ruth Millan, Procurement@lnb.org.uk to confirm attendance and names/mobile numbers of representatives attending site. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
