Notice Title

Lease Agreement - Experience Barnsley Cafe

Notice Description

At the end of June 2013, Experience Barnsley, a state-of-the-art museum and discovery centre, opened in the Town Hall, Barnsley. There has been a fantastic response to the first museum devoted to Barnsley's stories and thousands of local people contributed towards its creation. It appeals to a wide-range of audiences, across generations, and is a special place to head to on trips to the town. It has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by the European Regional Development Fund. An excellent cafe is an important part of this visitor offer. A large space in the most prominent part of the building, to fit approximately 40 covers, has been carefully renovated to provide this. It is beautifully and naturally lit with large windows to the south elevation of the building, with double-doors opening onto the main reception area through which the majority of visitors will pass. The cafe has the potential to be a lively space, where visitors of all ages and in different-sized groups get drinks, snacks and light-meals. It is an integral part of the visitor experience and also a daily place to spend time for Town Hall users too. Please visit https://www.yortender.co.uk for more information.
