Notice Description

This framework opportunity covers demolition including asbestos removal; asbestos investigation/reporting; and enabling works. The intention is to appoint a selection of Suppliers in order to cover these requirements. The focus is on the South Central Region of the UK, which encompasses Gloucestershire, Bristol and the Midlands. The framework will be available to a full list of eligible Contracting Authorities, which is published with the ITT and includes central government departments and their arm's length bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies, NHS bodies, local authorities, registered providers, health, police, fire and charities and devolved administrations. Eligible Contracting Authorities will be able to call on appointed suppliers throughout the duration of the contract. There will be a process of further competition conducted online for jobs, as well as the provision for direct award. The contract is split into lots. Lot 1 is 'Demolition' and includes: Prelims Licensable ACM Removal Non-Licensable ACM Removal Asbestos Disposal Soft Strip Hard Strip Foundations Removal Hard Standing Break Up and Removal Crushing Waste Waste Storage Waste Disposal Reclaim Materials Site Re-Cover Additional Related Tasks Lot 2 is 'Asbestos Investigation', and includes the requirement to conduct refurbishment and demolition surveys, asbestos analysis and testing, management surveys, and other related activities to facilitate demolition and maintenance of sites where asbestos is present. Lot 3 - Enabling Works Enabling works will include site preparation works prior to full construction and development. This covers ground excavation, soil stabilisation and removal of contaminated materials; minor construction and preparatory work including piling, retaining walls and new minor building; introduction of light infrastructure such as access roads, new sewers, drainage etc. Additional information: Suppliers can gain access to all contract documents and tender at the following link: http://miprocurement.miconcepts.co.uk
