Summary of the contracting process

The Victoria and Albert Museum is initiating a procurement process for its "Temporary Exhibition Build Contractors Approved List", focusing on construction work for exhibition-related buildings. This tender is currently in the active stage and is set to conclude on 21 November 2019. The project location is London, UK, with an estimated contract value ranging from £1,000,000 to £5,000,000 over a contract period running from 9 December 2019 to 9 December 2021. The procurement will be conducted through an open procedure, allowing a broad range of applicants to submit their Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs). Interested suppliers are encouraged to apply through an online platform, with opportunities to join this list expected to recur every few months.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to engage with high-profile exhibition projects at a renowned institution. Companies specializing in construction, design, and installation for temporary exhibitions would be well-suited to compete. With budgets that can reach up to £1,000,000 depending on project complexity, businesses that can deliver comprehensive exhibition builds, including related installations such as AV hardware and lighting, are encouraged to seize this opportunity for potential growth and collaboration with the prestigious V&A.
