Notice Description

Cumbria Care is the Cumbria County Council (the Council) in-house provider of adult care and support services across the whole of Cumbria. Cumbria Care Older Adults Residential Care Homes require an Electronic Medication Administration Software System. The system must: * Provide a robust ordering, recording, monitoring, and reporting system to support governance and operational activity across all tasks in relation to medication administration. * Record all medication activity in multiple daily administration rounds in real time. * Report real time, accurate information regarding operational service delivery. * Provide key assurance on the safe and effective administration of medication across residential services. * Provide wrap around support for service users and staff to enable a more person-centred approach. * Have a modern intuitive user interface to enable all users to safely administer the medications - as a minimum the system must meet the requirements of EN 301 549. * Be usable on standard Cumbria County Council laptops and desktop computers. The new system must also be able to support medicine management with wider community services, and health partners such as GPs, Pharmacies, and District Nursing Teams. Please note that Cumbria is currently undergoing a Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). Government has announced that Cumbria County Council and the six district councils are to be replaced by two unitary authorities with effect from 01 April 2023. This Agreement is for use by Cumbria County Council as identified in the contract notice and any successor council(s) as defined in The Local Government (Structural Changes) (Transfer of Functions, Property, Rights and Liabilities) Regulations 2008 of Cumbria County Council. This procurement will be for 2 Lots with the same supplier. Both contracts will be implemented and managed by Cumbria County Council until a point after 1 April 2023 when the lots will be handed over to the relevant new authority.
