We want more people to be able to harness digital technologies for work, to solve problems that matter to them, and to express themselves creatively. Established in 2008 and first known for our product - the wildly successful Raspberry Pi computer - the Foundation has developed educational content and programmes that are helping millions of people learn new knowledge and skills. Through Code Club and CoderDojo, we support the world's largest networks of free computing clubs for young people. Tens of thousands of educators have taken our online courses, and millions of people use our free online learning resources. We are at the forefront of the global movement to help young people learn about computing and digital making. Fixed-term opportunities: Working with our partners in the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE), we are delivering a comprehensive programme of support for computing teachers in primary and secondary schools. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform the way we teach computing and computer science. As part of this programme, we are seeking individuals with a background in primary computing education to work with us on a fixed-term basis to complete a variety of projects related to the development of educational content. This work will include, but is not limited to: - Creating online training content for computing teachers - Reviewing and updating teaching resources from the Teach Computing Curriculum Each contracted role will be supported by a Learning Manager, and will be flexible in nature. Each piece of work will be self-contained, and we are looking for people who can commit one to two days a week over a fixed-term period. Requirements: - A teaching qualification, or teaching experience - Excellent subject knowledge in computing/computer science up to key stage 2 - A thorough knowledge of the NCCE's Teach Computing Curriculum for key stages 1 and 2 - A passion for computing education and supporting young people - Experience of using Google Drive and Google Docs to create, edit, and upload content - Excellent written English, as well as editing skills - The ability to produce engaging written and recorded materials - Experience of content production for digital platforms - The willingness to learn, and an interest in developments in the field How to apply: Please submit your CV, a brief cover letter outlining your skills, experience including your availability and an example of your work in your application via https://apply.workable.com/raspberrypi/j/EC01670A29/
