Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Water is seeking support and maintenance services for Oracle's legacy products through its tender titled "Oracle Legacy Products Support". This procurement falls under the services industry category and is located in Scotland. The procurement process is currently at the award stage, with key details including a tender closing date of 5 February 2021, following a selective procurement method, which involved a negotiated procedure with a prior call for competition. This opportunity comes as Scottish Water has completed a technology refresh programme and now requires ongoing support for remaining legacy applications, such as WebLogic and OBIEE, until they can be fully upgraded.

Businesses that have expertise in IT services, particularly those specialising in Oracle products, would find significant opportunities in this contract. The successful bidder will need to demonstrate a strong track record of supporting Oracle legacy systems with minimal disruption. Additionally, companies that can collaborate effectively with Scottish Water's existing digital partners, such as Capgemini, Atos, and Fujitsu, would be well-positioned to compete. As this contract also includes potential for extensions and further opportunities, it represents a valuable chance for growth in the IT services sector.
