1043 - Bunkered Fuel Contract
Notice Description
Essex is a large county with almost 1.5 million residents generating approximately 700,000 tonnes of local authority collected waste per annum. As the statutory waste disposal authority for Essex, Essex County Council (the Authority) is responsible for providing a range of infrastructure and arrangements for the management of waste. The Authority operate 21 Recycling Centres for Household Waste (RCHW) and 4 Waste Transfer Stations (WTS), and work closely with the 12 borough, city and district councils who are the Waste Collection Authorities (WCA) within the county of Essex. Following completion of a procurement procedure, the Authority are awarding a contract for the supply of Diesel and AdBlue to ensure that its machines to operate safely and compliantly. The Authority undertook a framework call-off procedure from Crown Commercial Services RM6177 (National Fuels 2 - Lot 108). This process was undertaken electronically via the ProContract e-sourcing portal.

Liquid Fuel (14 regional Lots)

The Authority operate 21 Recycling Centres for Household Waste (RCHW) and 4 Waste Transfer Stations (WTS), and work closely with the 12 borough, city and district councils who are the Waste Collection Authorities (WCA) within the county of Essex. Following completion of a procurement procedure, the Authority are awarding a contract for the supply of Diesel and AdBlue to ensure that its machines to operate safely and compliantly. The Authority undertook a framework call-off procedure from Crown Commercial Services RM6177 (National Fuels 2 - Lot 108). This process was undertaken electronically via the ProContract e-sourcing portal. Additional information: The maximum value of this contract is PS1,126,000. Due to the nature of this requirement being the provision of goods, the contract value reflects a quotation for a basket of goods based on fuel consumption. This was issued at tender stage and used for evaluation purposes.
Options: The initial agreement term for this Contract is 2 years with the option to extend for up to an additional 2 years in 12-month periods (1+1 years). The decision to extend this Contract is at the Authority's sole discretion and shall be provided to the Supplier in writing.
Liquefied GasThe Supplier shall supply liquefied gasses to existing customer sites and any new sites which wish to join the arrangement during the life of the framework. The Supplier shall supply and deliver all types of liquefied gas in all areas and may also be required to supply and install on a lease or purchase basis bulk storage tanks to various Buyers across the whole of the UK throughout the Framework Agreement and any Call Off Contracts. Solid Fuel and Biomass FuelThe Supplier shall supply and deliver solid fuel and biomass fuel Deliverables to various Buyers across the UK throughout the Framework Agreement and any Call Off Contracts. The Supplier shall ensure that the fuels will comply with the types requested by the Buyers and be of required quality in accordance with the relevant European Standards and British Standards (or equivalent). The full deliverables required are set out in the Specification, the full Specification is set out in the Invitation to Tender (ITT)
Greases, Lubricants and AntifreezeThe Supplier shall provide the supply, packaging and delivery of Lubricants, Greases, and Antifreeze and associated Deliverables in all areas to Buyers throughout the Framework Agreement and any Call Off Contracts. The Supplier shall ensure that all Deliverables are of the required quality in accordance with the relevant European Standards and British Standards (or equivalent) and must comply with all good industry practice and all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements. Associated servicesThe Supplier shall supply and deliver all types of additional services directly associated to the Deliverables to be delivered under Lots 1-4 under this Framework agreement to various Buyers across the whole of the UK throughout the Framework Agreement and any Call Off Contracts. The Supplier shall provide any of the above Deliverables which they have the capability to deliver and may offer additional Deliverables which are directly associated to the use of the Deliverables covered in Lot 1, 2, 3 and 4 of this Framework Agreement not included in the list above.
