Large Foam Making Equipment (Firefighting)
Notice Description
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has sought proposals from suitably qualified providers for the provision of: - Large Scale Foam Making Equipment (Firefighting) to deliver large quantities of foam solution to the North West Fire and Rescue Services (NWF&RS's), namely: - Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man. In addition to the above named Services, the framework will be made available for any other UK Fire and Rescue Service, (please follow this link for details): https://www.nationalfirechiefs.org.uk/Fire-and-Rescue-Services to utilise as required subject to prior agreement with Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the successful provider(s). It is the intention of GMCA to set up a Framework Agreement for the items being sought in this tender. The framework is split into Lots according to flow rates. It is intended to evaluate and award places on the framework on a Lot by Lot basis. Each individual Lot will be awarded to a single supplier, it is possible that a single supplier may be awarded more than 1 Lot.

Foam Making Equipment: up to 8000 lpm
Lot 1 - Supply of foam making equipment, consisting of a pump, monitor and inductor, capable of delivering unaspirated foam solution at a flow rate of up to 8000 litres per minute (lpm) Lot 2 - Supply of foam making equipment, consisting of a pump, monitor and inductor, capable of delivering unaspirated foam solution at a flow rate of between 8001 and 13000 litres per minute (lpm) Lot 3 - Supply of foam making equipment, consisting of a pump, monitor and inductor, capable of delivering unaspirated foam solution at a flow rate of between 13001 and 18000 litres per minute (lpm) Lot 4 - Supply of foam making equipment, consisting of a pump, monitor and inductor, capable of delivering unaspirated foam solution at a flow rate of over 23001 litres per minute (lpm). Lot 5 - Supply of foam making equipment, consisting of a pump, monitor and inductor, capable of delivering unaspirated foam solution at a flow rate of over 23001 litres per minute (lpm).

Foam Making Equipment: over 23001 lpmSupply of foam making equipment, consisting of a pump, monitor and inductor, capable of delivering unaspirated foam solution at a flow rate of over 23001 litres per minute (lpm).
Ancillary Equipment (for Foam Making Equipment detailed in Lots 1 - 5)Lot 6 is for ancillary equipment that might be used at different incident types, such as rim seal fire, vent fire, pressure (3D) fire etc.
