Baxter Healthcare Ltd Water Treatment plants carry the CE0086 which indicates that the equipment conforms to the EC Council Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices. It also complies with the IEC 60601 edition three requirements for a medical device. The Service Manual states the following which means only Baxter Healthcare can work on the device. This classed as medical equipment. "CAUTION The information in this Manuel is intended for trained Baxter technicians. Servicing to be carried out by Certified Baxter Healthcare Technical Support". The access to remote monitoring function has a verified static is exclusive to Baxter Healthcare for dial in to the on line diagnostic tool.
