"isAccelerated": true,
"acceleratedRationale": "The Tender is being conducted under the Accelerated Procedure. MDC has determined that a state of urgency exists that renders impracticable the time limit laid down in the PCR. Therefore, the time limit shall be not less than 15 calendar days from the date on which the contract notice is sent. The rationale for this is that MDC have previously advertised within OJEU the tender for The Supply and Delivery of COVID-19 Samples, however unfortunately no suitable bids were submitted. Due to this MDC have reviewed their specification and are now reissuing the tender based on the requirements laid down in the Specification Appendix 3. The Covid-19 Samples are required for an Innovate UK funded project studying the immune profiled of 3000 patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. The project started 01/10/2020 and the samples are required by 30/06/2021 (or a date agreed by MDC / Oncimmune and the awarded Supplier). MDC do not have the time to undertake a full open procedure tendering exercise."
