Underground Refuse Solutions Framework
Notice Description
The creation of a multi-lot framework for the supply of underground refuse solutions and associated equipment, technology, vehicles, maintenance and works. Lot 1: The Supply of Underground Refuse Solutions Lot 2: The Supply of Technology Associated with Underground Refuse Solutions Lot 3: The Supply of Vehicles Associated with Underground Refuse Solutions Lot 4: The Service, Maintenance and Cleaning of Underground Refuse Solutions The framework will last for four years and will be open to all UK Public Sector and publically funded entities including, but not limited to: - Local Authorities (including county councils, district councils unitary authorities (including those in Scotland and Wales)); - Government departments and agencies; - Local Authority Maintained Schools; - Academy Schools; - Further education colleges; - Universities and other higher education institutions; - Local Authority Companies; - Joint Authorities formed under the Local Government Acts; - Registered providers of social housing; - Non-departmental public bodies; - Blue-light services
Lot Information
The Supply of Underground Refuse Solutions
The supply of fully-underground or semi-underground refuse solutions including systems designed to be lifted crane systems using a hydraulic platform or any other system of underground refuse storage and collection. Suppliers may also include above-ground containers where these are complimentary to underground units, i.e. for use in locations where excavation is not feasible or where portability is required. Such units should be capable of being lifted by the same mechanism as the underground systems they are intended to compliment. This lot includes options for the following services, associated with underground refuse solutions, to be provided in addition to the supply of underground refuse solutions: - Installation services - Technology solutions - Vehicles - Maintenance
Options: Bids will be accepted for any options relevant to an underground refuse solution.
The Supply of Technology Associated with Underground Refuse SolutionsSuppliers will be required to supply a range of technological solutions associated with the use and management of URS. Technologic solutions may include, but is not limited to: - Access control systems - Fill level sensors - Weighing technology - Vehicle routing systems - Other system control technology Suppliers may be engaged on the following basis: - Supply only - Supply and install - Supply, install and maintenance
Options: Bids will be accepted for any options relevant to an underground refuse solution.
The Supply of Vehicles Associated with Underground Refuse SystemsSuppliers are required to provide a range of vehicles with the capability of lifting and emptying Underground Refuse Solutions. Suppliers must be able to supply vehicles to any location within the United Kingdom. Suppliers must be able to supply vehicles suitable for use in at least three of the scenarios specified in Lot 1. Vehicles may be supplied on an outright purchase basis or on a contract hire basis.

The Service and Maintenance of Underground Refuse SolutionsSuppliers will be required to undertake the servicing and maintenance of underground refuse solutions.
