Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish National Investment Bank is conducting a tender for Corporate Legal Services, aimed at appointing a law firm for an estimated period of 2 to 3 years. The procurement process is currently at the award stage, following the tender period that closed on 19 May 2021. This contract, valued at £300,000, focuses on providing comprehensive legal advice in areas such as Employment Law, Corporate Governance, and FCA regulations, within the United Kingdom, specifically Edinburgh. The selected firm will be expected to act as an extension of the Bank's in-house legal team, providing additional expertise and capacity as required.

This tender presents significant opportunities for established legal firms that have experience advising both private and public sector organisations. With around 100 days of outsourced legal support needed annually, businesses that can demonstrate a strong track record in corporate legal services, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and an ability to deliver collaborative, value-added support will be well-positioned to compete. Firms must also comply with specific operational criteria and insurance requirements, ensuring that participating candidates meet high professional standards.
