Notice Description
The Council is seeking Service Providers to support our young people in 16+ Accommodation. The aim of the service is to provide "Supported Accommodation" and "Support" for Young People aged 16-18+ (up to a maximum age of 24 by exception). For those young people in our care The Council, as Corporate Parents, need to provide positive parenting and specialist support. In Powys, demand is greater than supply for quality placements for our Children Looked After aged 16 plus. Through the commissioning of 16+ Accommodation, The Council aims to keep children and young people as close to home as possible to enable them to remain part of their communities and retain their childhood connections. The Council is looking to commission supported accommodation and support for young people aged 16-plus via 3 lots: 1) Management of Springboard Houses and Training Flat. 2) Semi-Independent Accommodation. 3) Floating Support.

Management of Springboard Houses and Training Flat
Management of Springboard Houses and Training Flat currently in geographical locations: Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon.
Semi-Independent Accommodation and SupportSEMI-INDEPENDENT ACCOMMODATION AND SUPPORT Geographical Locations: North, Mid and South Powys, located in main towns. Number of beds: 15 beds (additional provision could be provided within the Contract if demand increases and additional funding is secured)
Floating SupportFLOATING SUPPORT Requirement for Floating Support across Powys within a range of accommodations, depending on the needs of young people. This will include provision of support within the Springboard Houses, Training flat and young people's family home/own tenancy, if required. Geographical Locations: Powys-wide.
