The Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature Trust (EUCL) intends to appoint an architect-led multidisciplinary design team to undertake a paid feasibility study for their Literature House for Scotland project. This notice relates to the full project - upon the completion of a successful feasibility study, it is intended that the chosen design team will be retained to undertake the full project to completion. The Literature House project is part of a wider ambition to develop a Literary Quarter at the Netherbow area of Edinburgh's Royal Mile and enhance the Scottish Storytelling Centre, to which John Knox House is adjoined. As the client, EUCL view the purpose of the feasibility study work as: 1. to establish that the Literature House project is viable within the estimated construction budget 2. to assist in identifying a design-led, inspiring, innovative and deliverable option 3. to assist in the development of other project documentation such as the business case, project execution plan and strategic brief 4. to provide detailed understanding and assessment of the site information provided by the client 5. to assist in the analysis of the physical space - John Knox House and the Scottish Storytelling Centre - and how that space might be used 6. to include an understanding of the estimated construction budget relative to client requirements
