Summary of the contracting process

Staffordshire County Council is inviting tenders for the "IA2269 Framework Agreement for the Provision of Repairs and Treatment of Flat Roofs" under an open procurement method. This contract, valued at £10 million, is intended to renew and repair the flat roofs of County Council owned buildings across Staffordshire, including offices and schools. The procurement process is currently in the active stage, with the contract period commencing on 1 December 2021 and concluding on 30 November 2024, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months. Interested parties must submit their proposals electronically through the designated tendering platform.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in roofing and construction services, particularly those offering responsive maintenance and renewal services for flat roofing systems. Companies with expertise in traditional built-up felt roofing systems, as well as those providing comprehensive services, including roofing repairs, waste management, and health and safety compliance, would be well-suited to compete. Given the broad scope of work and the potential for numerous projects, this framework agreement can drive growth for small and medium-sized enterprises aiming to expand their portfolio in the public sector.
