Summary of the contracting process

The UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is currently in the active tender stage for the "UKRI-1441 NERC Vessels Maintenance Framework" contract, which focuses on repair and maintenance services of ships. This opportunity is valued at £45 million and is based in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. The procurement method is an open procedure, and interested suppliers should submit their bids by 31 January 2022. The intended contract duration spans three years, with options for two additional years to accommodate ongoing maintenance of RRS “James Cook”, RRS “Discovery”, and RRS “Sir David Attenborough”.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the marine services industry, particularly those specialising in ship repair and maintenance.
