Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "The supply of Automated Blood Grouping Analysers" was initiated by the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, located in Leicester, UK. This procurement, classified under the medical equipment category, was conducted through an open procedure. However, the process has been cancelled due to fundamental flaws identified by the Trust, which concluded that it could not proceed to contract award following a competitive procurement that commenced with prior notice on 9 July 2019. This tender represented a significant opportunity for businesses engaged in the supply of medical equipment, particularly those specialising in automated blood grouping technology.
