Summary of the contracting process

The Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has issued a tender titled "Tender for the Hire of Scaffolding and Aluminium Towers" within the repair and maintenance services industry. This procurement is categorized under an open procedure, and it aims to support maintenance and repairs for approximately 29,000 properties across West Bromwich, Oldbury, Smethwick, Tipton, Rowley Regis, and Wednesbury. The tender period concluded on 16th July 2021, with a planned contract period from 1st December 2021 to 30th November 2024, although the status of this tender is currently active, with a total estimated value of £900,000.

This opportunity presents substantial potential for growth for businesses specialising in scaffolding and maintenance services, as the Council intends to engage one contractor for ongoing support. Companies with experience in the provision and management of scaffolding solutions, particularly those familiar with servicing large municipal contracts, would be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, businesses with a robust capacity for logistics and project management are encouraged to consider this tender to leverage their expertise in supporting local government initiatives.
