Framework for the Installation and Repair of Disabled Adaptations 2021-2024
Renewal: The framework will be for a period of three years with the option to extend for one further year.
Repairs to AdaptationsThe works will be provided to properties within the Council's boundary across all tenures. Requirements under this lot will include: * Repairs to Bathing Adaptations - rip ups (full repair to all elements of installation), pump repair / replacement, electric shower / TMV repair / replacement, vinyl safety flooring repairs / replacement, repairs to shower seats, screens, curtains and rails * Repairs to Specialised equipment - automated doors and door entry systems, rise and fall kitchen work surfaces, wash dry W.C.s A maximum of 2 contractors will be appointed to this lot. This lot has been split geographically into two areas of the City. One contractor will be assigned to carry out repairs to adaptations in the North of the City and the other in the South of the City.
Renewal: The framework will be for a period of three years with the option to extend for one further year.
Urgent Adaptations to Void Properties with a value below PS25,000The works will be provided to properties within the Council's boundary across all tenures. Typical requirements will include the following however, this is not an exhaustive list: * Replace Bathroom with Level Access Shower * Replace Bathroom with Level Access Shower, widen existing door opening/ form new pocket sliding door. * Knock Separate WC through to bathroom and install level Access Shower. Including forming new door opening/pocket sliding door. * Kitchen adaptation (not complete renewal) e.g. one rise and fall work surface or sink, / fixed low level work top or sink, tower oven housing unit. * Level Threshold Entrance Door * Modular Ramping to one elevation of property * Repairs to existing bathing adaptations and specialised equipment where new adaptations are also required A maximum of 1 contractor will be appointed to this lot.

Minor Adaptations with a value below PS1,500The works will be provided to properties within the Council's boundary across all tenures. Typical requirements will include the following however, this is not an exhaustive list: * Ramping and paths/ hardstanding * Handrails * Stair Rail/ balustrade alterations * Grab rails - internal and external * Shower Seats * Safety fencing * Soft play areas * Lever taps * Key Safes * Bio Bidets * Additional electrical sockets * Door intercom systems * Lighting alterations A maximum of 1 contractor will be appointed to this lot.
