Summary of the contracting process

The Belfast City Council is seeking to enhance catering services at its iconic venues, Belfast Castle and Malone House, through a contract valued at approximately £5 million over a five-year period. This procurement process is in the award stage after an initial tender was published for suppliers to express interest. Key dates include the meeting with prospective suppliers on 29th July 2021, and negotiations occurred with Event Warrior Ltd, identified as the sole capable supplier during the call for competition, which was published on 21st June 2021.

This contract represents a significant opportunity for catering and hospitality businesses looking to expand their markets within the tourism and events sector in Northern Ireland. Interested parties, particularly those specialising in catering, event management, and related services, would find this an ideal chance to grow their clientele by securing a diverse range of events such as weddings, conferences, and retail services at two prominent venues. Given the comprehensive requirements of this contract, businesses with experience in managing catering operations at high-profile locations will be particularly well-placed to compete effectively.
