Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is planning a procurement process for specialist energy commercial and financial advisers focused on low carbon hydrogen work programmes. This tender, estimated at £4,000,000, is classified under the energy and related services category. Key dates include a supplier information session set for 8th July, and potential contract award communications anticipated by the end of July 2021. The procurement aims to support the UK's ambition for 5GW of low carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030, and is governed by EU regulations.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in energy consultancy, financial modelling, and project assessment related to low carbon initiatives. Companies that can demonstrate expertise in the design and delivery of commercial and financial strategies within the energy sector, particularly those familiar with governmental funding processes, will find this opportunity particularly suited to their capabilities. As this process may welcome bids from both individual companies and consortia, collaborative enterprises may also enhance their chances of success.
