Summary of the contracting process

The Sheffield City Council is conducting the SH05833 - Housing Elemental Works Programme 2021-2026 - Contract 4, which is currently active in the construction industry. This procurement process is at the contract stage following its initiation as a tender. The project involves refurbishment and improvement works on council-owned dwellings, including significant upgrades like kitchen and bathroom replacements and energy efficiency installations. The tender period ended on 13 July 2021, and the contracted work is expected to continue until 31 March 2026, with particular consideration given to properties that may remain occupied during renovations.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses specialising in construction and refurbishments, particularly those experienced in residential work in occupied properties. Firms that can demonstrate expertise in various aspects of building improvements, including health and safety protocols, quality assurance, and energy-efficient systems, will be well-suited to compete. The project criteria favour solutions that deliver high quality and social value, making it an appealing prospect for companies focused on community enhancement and sustainability in their service offerings.
