'Expression of Interest' - Supply of Energy Efficiency Measure Products & Systems Background Orbit is developing its strategy for meeting the government target of reducing its property portfolio energy consumption to 'net carbon zero' by 2050. In order to achieve this, it has established an internal function to manage this challenge, led by a 'Carbon Forum'. The Carbon Forum will assess and approve the technologies to be used to achieve this target. The aim is to have a programme of pilots in place where energy efficiency improvement can be measured with products and/ or systems installed into void properties and assessed thereafter for their suitability and effectiveness with customers in residence. Scope The scope of this 'Expression of Interest' covers the following requirements: Orbit is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers of Energy Efficiency Measure Products and Systems for potential use in its property portfolio in support of achieving Net Carbon Zero by 2050. Energy Efficiency Measures are products or systems which are intended to enhance the energy efficiency within existing buildings. Orbit is interested in hearing from suppliers of products and systems in any of the following areas: * Building Fabric Improvements and Thermal Bridging Reduction. * Building Envelope Air Tightness Improvements. * Building Envelope Resistance to Water Penetration. * Improvements or Upgrades to Ventilation to Improve Air Quality. * Efficient Heating and Cooling Systems with SMART controls, including LZC tech. * Efficient Water Heating Systems with responsive controls including LZC Tech. * Efficient Fixed Lighting with appropriate controls. * Efficient appliances and equipment to reduce energy use and minimize internal heat gains. * Locally Generated renewable electric power systems that use LZC tech. * Energy Storage to improve the usefulness of energy generated using LZC tech. * Metering and monitoring systems to promote the efficient use of energy. * EEM systems which adopt more than one of the EEM's listed above to deliver improved energy efficiency. * Any other EEM's not listed above. Potential suppliers having products or systems which can improve the energy efficiency of existing buildings are invited to express their interest. Potential suppliers who respond to the PIN will be invited to a briefing presentation, hosted by Orbit via Teams on Tuesday 31st August from 11:30 until 13:00, where Orbit shall present and discuss in more detail its objectives and requirements and provide the opportunity for interested suppliers to ask questions. Following the presentation Orbit may issue a questionnaire and/ or host interviews to explore the market potential to fulfil these requirements. Responding to this PIN will not automatically lead to invitations to the supplier engagement activities, Orbit specific requirements must be considered when responding.
