Notice Description
Please note that this notice is for transparency purposes only. The DVSA have awarded a contract to LET Automotive N.V for the calibration and maintenance services of their speed measuring devices. This procurement was conducted in compliance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Regulation 32(2).

Procurement Information
DVSA have established, via the publication of a Prior Information Notice which incorporated a Request for information, that no competition exists due to the niche technical nature of the requirement. From a repair and maintenance perspective, the Speedoscope is a proprietary device to L.E.T. Automotive, the incumbent. L.E.T. Automotive are currently the only supplier capable of providing a speed measuring device that meets the DVSA requirements. L.E.T. Automotive developed the Speedoscope for use by the Belgian Government 15 years ago and these devices are still in use currently
