Summary of the contracting process

The Selston Parish Council is currently seeking tenders for the "Friezeland Rec Circular Path" project, an initiative within the construction industry to develop a new all-weather surface path at Friezeland Recreation Ground located in Underwood, Nottinghamshire. The procurement is in the Tender stage with an estimated contract value of £60,000, and submissions are due by 23rd August 2021. The project aims to replace worn-out surfaces and establish a 500-metre circular track as part of the council's Play Strategy, with work expected to be completed by the end of October 2021.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for construction firms, particularly those experienced in outdoor facilities and surfacing projects, to expand their business. Companies specialising in sports and recreational infrastructure are particularly well-suited to compete, as the project requires expertise in creating durable paths and collaborating with local councils. Interested bidders should conduct a site visit to enhance their proposals, ensuring that they meet the council's specific requirements and budgetary constraints.
