Notice Description
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Project Team within Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) are preparing to initiate a competitive procurement process to award a contract for the Battle of Britain Memorial integrated Support Arrangement Programme (BISAP) - Propulsion (Propellers). BISAP - Propulsion (Propellers) will deliver an efficient and effective, long term solution for all propeller support for the Battle of Britain Memorial fleet of aircraft over the next 10 years.

Lot 1
The Authority's scope of requirement for BISAP Propulsion Propellers includes: Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MR&O); Parts Design and Production; Technical Information and Product Support for all BBMF propeller types, which comprise: Fairey Reed (Chipmunk), Hamilton Standard (Lancaster/Dakota) and Dowty-Rotol (Spitfire / Hurricane) Propellers. The requirement includes Contractor management of BBMF's fleet of propellers to maximise propeller availability to BBMF during the display season (Apr - Oct) and to carry out MR&O activities by aligning them to the BBMF winter maintenance period (Oct - Mar). Additional information: The Contractor supporting BBMF Propellers will be required to hold as a minimum appropriate BCAR approvals from the CAA at Contract award and will be expected to gain approval from the Military Aviation Authority under their DAOS (Design) and MAOS (Maintenance) Schemes during the initial 18 month period from contract award. The aim is to carry out competitive tendering activity starting in Q4 21.
