Community Equipment Service
Notice Description
PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity. Provision of an Integrated Community Equipment and Wheelchair Service for Somerset (CEWS). Somerset County Council and Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group are jointly seeking to hear from organisations that might be interested in delivering an Integrated Community Equipment and Wheelchairs service for the people of Somerset with a real focus on improving people's lives through promoting their independence and working much more collaboratively across statutory services to ensure that they get the best possible help, when they need it. The aim of this service will be to enable Adults, Children, Young People (CYP) and/or their Carers to access a range of equipment, including wheelchairs according to assessed need. A fundamental principle of the service is to promote and enable these individuals to continue living independently and in their own homes, communities, and schools, including those wishing to access these services independently of the Commissioners.
